Vanderbilt’s Nicholas S. Zeppos College provides students an environmentally friendly, ultra-modern living space encapsulated by gothic-style architecture. It houses 335 students in four-person suites, traditional double rooms, and traditional single rooms. The college also boasts many study and group discussion areas. Elaborate and exacting stone work was required to complete this unique project. In fact, each stone was fabricated to an exact place in the wall– many with complex angles. Our Tennessee Crab Orchard Stone can be found along the exterior, interior, and in the courtyards. Silvara provided the sawed rubble for the wall stone, plus a sawed stone for flooring and steps in various interiors and exteriors.
