Nashville’s world class 132-acre Centennial Park, is located right in the heart of downtown and the West End. This sprawling green space has been a Nashville touchstone since 1897 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The park also hosts a full calendar of signature events for residents and visitors alike to enjoy.
Recently, a revitalization project was undertaken to improve the pedestrian experience within the park to provide wider paths with a more open landscape. The results speak for themselves. The lawn is now flanked on each side with 20 foot wide pedestrian promenades made exclusively of our Tennessee Crab Orchard stone. In fact, you will find our Crab Orchard Stone throughout the park, adding twice the amount walking paths for visitors to explore.

Vanderbilt’s Nicholas S. Zeppos College provides students an environmentally friendly, ultra-modern living space encapsulated by gothic-style architecture. It houses 335 students in four-person suites, traditional double rooms, and traditional single rooms. The college also boasts many study and group discussion areas. Elaborate and exacting stone work was required to complete this unique project. In fact, each stone was fabricated to an exact place in the wall– many with complex angles. Our Tennessee Crab Orchard Stone can be found along the exterior, interior, and in the courtyards. Silvara provided the sawed rubble for the wall stone, plus a sawed stone for flooring and steps in various interiors and exteriors.
